The sea shore of Porbandar is having a special attraction to tourists and lovers of outings. There is a chowpatti in Porbandar like the one in Mumbai. The sea is very clear and the shore is neat and clean.

It is a beautiful place where one can enjoy the wide open Arabian Sea which stimulates and brings positive vibrations in the human body.

BIRD SANCTUARY

Two architect brothers built this historic and breathtaking haveli in the 19th century. It is interesting to learn that while one concentrated his efforts on the right hand side, the other concentrated on the left. The result is an architectural symphony epitomising the side by side symmetry that took place during construction. Paintings in miniature style monopolise the interior wall. Mighty tuskers carved out of yellow sandstone stand guard to the haveli.

RELIGIOUS PLACES:- SUDAMA TEMPLE ,SANDIPANI ASHRAM (HARI MANDIR),BHARAT MANDIR

SUDAMA TEMPLE    The holy pilgrimage Sudamapuri – friend of Lord Krishna, situates in Porbandar city that symbolize the divine knowledge of 'living life with honesty'. Sudamaji has made a land mark for Saurashtra in the map of the world.

SANDIPANI ASHRAM (HARI MANDIR)    To restore the ancient pride of Sudamapuri the ancient name of Porbandar, a great Bhagvad chanter Shree Rameshbhai Oza (Bhaishree) has began Sanskritiyagna. His Vidyaniketan has become the centre for producing and spreading vedic culture and spiritual movement of Hindusm. A huge Hari Mandir has also been constructed where millions of devotees pay their homage every year.

BHARAT MANDIR   The Bharat temple is rarely missed by any tourist who visits Porbandar. In this monument, there is an elaborated map of India made of marble in the center of the hall and various carved pillars having giant statues size of modern and ancient great national heros, saints, kings, politicians and brave women who have made invaluable contribution in the creation of Indian culture. There are also sutras and shlokas of scirptures marked on the walls of the building. This Bharat temple is also a very useful means for learning Indian culture and civilization.

OTHERS PLACES:- ARYA KANYA GURUKUL ,GRISHMA BHAVAN (SARTANJINO CHORO),PLANETARIUM

ARYA KANYA GURUKUL    In Porbandar since last 36 years there is an Arya Kanya Gurukul imparting education to girls through the ancient guru parampara (teacher tradition). The focus of Arya Kanya Gurukul is to develop Indian culture and build unparallel character amongst girls while imparting education and preparing them for accepting in life ahead.

GRISHMA BHAVAN (SARTANJINO CHORO)    : Rana Sartanji, a royal patron of Porbandar ruling family constructed the Grishma Bhavan for holding recitals of classical music. Engraved on the pillars are the special musical postures.

PLANETARIUM   : In the memory of Late Pandit Jawwaharlal Nehru, Shree Nanjibhai Kalidas Mehta, having love of astronomy, gifted this planetarium to the scientific and educational world of Porbandar. The planetarium is constructed adjacent to the Gurukul and in front of famous Bharat Mandir
